Product Overview
Active Ingredient: 5% Didecyldimethylammonium Chloride (DDAC), a quaternary ammonium compound with broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties.
Target Organisms: Effective against algae, mould, lichen, mildew, and fungal spores. While not officially marketed as a moss killer due to regulatory changes, it may incidentally affect moss during application.
Surface Compatibility: Safe for brick, tarmac, slate, plastic, glass, fencing, decking, and roofs.
Application Guidelines
Dilution & Coverage
General Cleaning: Dilute 1:9 (1L concentrate + 9L water) for routine treatment.
Heavy-Duty Cleaning: Use 1:4 dilution for stubborn growth.
Coverage: 3–5 m² per litre of diluted solution, yielding up to 250 m² per 1L concentrate.
Usage Instructions
Exterior: Apply in dry weather (no rain for 6+ hours). Blackening of organic matter begins within 2–3 days.
Interior: Spray or brush diluted solution, leave for 24 hours, then scrub. Reapply after 7 days for persistent mould.
Safety: Wear gloves; keep pets/children away until surfaces dry. Avoid runoff into ponds or water systems.
Environmental & Regulatory Notes
Aquatic Toxicity: Harmful to aquatic life. Prevent runoff into water bodies.
Moss Legislation: Due to EU regulatory changes, the product is no longer marketed for moss removal on hard surfaces, though it may still impact moss incidentally.
Vegetation Warning: Unsuitable for lawns or flowerbeds, as it kills plants.
Post-Treatment
Residual Action: Continues working for months after application.
Maintenance: Reapply every 6 months to prevent regrowth.
